Our annual Taste of Christmas event will be held Tuesday, November 10th, 2009 from 6:30-9:00PM in the sanctuary. Please join us as we prepare our hearts for the Christmas season and explore our theme for the year - "JOY!"
Tickets are $7 and will be on sale in the foyer from October 4th - November 8th. In order to help us better plan for seating, etc.; no tickets will be sold at the door this year.
Please bring your favorite holiday dish (sweet or savory) to share.
We're looking forward to a wonderful time of fun, fellowship and encouragement and hope you will join us. This is one of the premier Women's Ministry events of the year - don't miss it!!

Taste of Christmas Planning Meeting
Hey ladies! I know we're just thinking about back to school, but it's time to start planning for our Taste of Christmas event in November.
If you are interested in helping us plan this event we'd love to have you join us for a brief meeting. No particular skills or talents needed - just a love for the Lord and a desire to share that love with the women of the Buda/Kyle area!
We'll be meeting this Thursday (Aug 13th) at 11AM at the Burger King in Kyle (I35 near Home Depot) in the playscape area. I'll buy lunch for every one!

Fireproof
As soon as this movie came out I started hoping that HHBC would do a special evening with this amazing movie, and now it's happening!

Jewelry Party!
Join the women of HHBC as we enjoy a light breakfast and hear about the work that is being done at Village of Hope in Uganda. I promise you will not leave without tears in your eyes and an amazement for what God is doing!

Check out the t-shirts in the foyer. There are 3 designs/colors to choose from in sizes from S to 3X. At only $16 each they are a bargain! Any money made from the t-shirts will be going toward our annual retreat in February 2010.

Central Texas Life Care Needs Our Help
One of HHBC's partner ministries, Central Texas Life Care, is in need of donations of baby items for the mothers they support. CTLC provides material assistance to expecting mothers. In order to "earn" this assistance, the mothers attend parenting and life skills classes. This program allows CTLC to meet the physical and emotional needs of these women while also providing them with the knowledge they will need to be good mothers to their children.
If you are able to help us support this ministry with a donation of baby wipes, small diapers, baby toiletries, baby clothes (newborn - 12 months), large baby gift bags, or other baby items it would be greatly appreciated and a wonderful blessing for women in Hays County. You can leave the items in the church foyer for JoDee Kidnew and mark them "For CTLC".

Don't forget about the Going Beyond event with Priscilla Shirer coming up at Great Hills Baptist Church! This is a great opportunity to hear a nationally known speaker, fellowship with sisters in Christ and have your spirit renewed.
